HOUSE RULES
Thank you for considering Casolena Lakehouse for your peaceful retreat!
To help ensure we’re the right fit for your stay, we kindly ask that you review the following house rules before booking.
1. Guest registration: At booking time we require a list of full names and ages of all guests. Our property manager reserves the right to verify IDs upon arrival.
2. Parties, events, or unregistered visitors are not permitted on the property at any time and may result in stay cancellation.
3. Security: There are multiple security cameras along the driveway, around the exterior of the cottage at entry points, and at the lake front.
4. No Pet Policy: We have a no-pet policy to keep the space allergy-friendly.
5. No shoes indoor: We maintain a no-shoe indoor policy in all seasons to welcome families with little ones (including ours). You are welcome to bring your own indoor flip flops.
6. No smoking or vaping indoor. Smoke detector is in place. Outdoor smoking should be done at a designated area (ask host for details).
7. Fireworks: are not allowed at any time without a permit (by-law).
8. Campfire: is only allowed in the fire pit and when there is no fire ban in effect, and is subject to all local by-laws. Prior notification is required.
9. Check-Out Time: 10am. The housekeeping team has a tight schedule and might charge an additional fee for delay/rescheduling.
10. Noise policy: No outdoor speaker at any time, quiet hours between 10pm-7am. In general please keep outdoor noise to a minimal and respect the peace of the neighborhood. Decibel monitoring device is in place.
11. Cleaning: Linen & towel laundry and general cleaning of the home are included in the cleaning fee. Guests are responsible for washing any used dishes/utensils and cleaning the BBQ/oven/fire pit/appliances if used.
12. Garbage: We kindly ask that you take the garbage with you when you leave, a common practice in the area. For sanitary reasons, the housekeeping team cannot carry garbage alongside linens and towels.
13. Septic System: The cottage is on a septic system. No oil, fat or grease down the drain, as these will damage the septic field. To avoid septic overflowing, there is also a daily limit of one bathtub use (no limit on showers) and two laundry loads (no limit on the dryer).
14. Water Access: The shoreline is rocky and wet rocks are slippery. There’s no lifeguard on duty. If you take part in any outdoor or water activities please do so at your own risk. Use of the on-site kayaks requires signing a liability waiver form.
15. Wildlife: The area is home to various wildlife so please keep children accompanied when outdoors and avoid going out alone at night.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. This helps us protect the tranquility of Casolena and offer a safe, respectful experience for all guests.
