Home of the sun and the moon

The two skies

Located 30 minutes from Tobermory Village and Bruce Peninsula National Park, Casolena is an elevated retreat where the sun wakes you up and the lake sets your pace.

The name comes from the Italian phrase Casa del Sole e della Luna. Flip the Sole/Luna switch to experience both sides of the home.

Lake & sky windows

The home is the theaterThe night puts on the show

Cielo is the loft at the top of the house, where the glass follows the roofline until the room feels half outdoors and the weather crossing the lake plays out in front of you. Imagine waking up to this view. Guests keep telling us the photos undersell it.

Bruce Peninsula National Park is a designated Dark Sky Preserve and our shoreline gets the same sky. The windows rise with the roofline, so on a clear night you can watch the moon and the stars from inside the house without putting a coat on.

The great room

Intentionally minimalistic

The great room holds everyone cooking, eating and lounging in one conversation, and corners that become your own when you want a quiet chapter.

We chose wood, leather and a few details that belong, so what you notice is the record turning, the fireplace crackling and the light crossing the floor.

“The photos can’t really capture how beautiful this home is. The views are breathtaking and feel very private.” “It is heaven on earth if you are looking for breathtaking scenery with stunning architecture, a serene experience of peace.”
