During high season (June to September and the holidays), there is limited cleaning service across the region. We have to fix the check-in and check-out dates to pre-book cleaning service to keep Casolena ready for every guest.

We welcome up to 6 guests for groups of friends and up to 8 for families with children. It keeps the house comfortable and safe, our neighborhood peaceful and us compliant with local regulations.

Our base rate covers 6 guests. Beyond 6, an extra-guest fee of $25 per guest per day applies.

Once a booking is confirmed, adding extra guests won't be allowed. If you have someone interested but not sure yet, please include them in the booking request. If they later can't go, just let us know and we will adjust the extra guest fee if applicable.

No, unfortunately. The fee covers not only a professional clean with laundering of all beds and towels, but also a full reset between stays. Our amenity checklist alone runs past 50 items, many of which are in storage inaccessible to guests. Trivia: when we sometimes clean and prepare the cottage ourselves, it easily takes both of us 6-8 hours.

Check-in from 4 PM, check-out by 10 AM.

When there’s no same-day turnover we do our best to accommodate, and we don't charge extra. On turnover days, housekeeping needs the full 6-hour gap to properly prepare the cottage, so it's just operationally impossible for us to offer early check-in or late check-out.

We love animals, but to keep the space hypoallergenic for all guests, Casolena is pet-free, no exceptions.

Indoors is strictly smoke-free. Outdoors, there’s a designated smoking area, just let us know and we will give more instructions.

Quiet hours (10 PM to 7 AM) apply to outdoor noise. Indoors, we simply ask for considerate volumes overnight.

Yes, and they are free to dispose (up to a limit). We share local waste and recycling details in the home guide after your booking is confirmed.

The cottage is set up for quiet time by the water, not for party/events. Our rental license carries a legal occupancy limit, and local by-laws on noise and guest numbers are strictly enforced. An unauthorized event risks our license and your stay. For small celebrations we might be able to make exception, but would require a detailed plan before booking (see other questions below).

If it's only the guests already staying with you, just tell us when you book. If you want to invite visitors who aren't staying overnight, contact us with all the details BEFORE booking: guest list, time of day, your plan etc. We'll work with you if it fits our capacity. Occupancy and by-law limits still apply, and non-staying guests are charged a per-person fee. Depending on the number of guests and cars, we may also require our property manager on site to coordinate, billed at their hourly rate.

We don't cater ourselves, but we can arrange a private chef at the cottage from November to April. A reputable fine-dining chef prepares the meal, subject to their availability and their own fees. Just ask us in advance and we'll help connect.

Yes. Four single kayaks are provided free from June to September. A signed waiver is required before use.

Yes, 4 adult-size life vests are on site. For youth or special size you need to bring your own.

If we have them in stock we would be happy to shared a limited quantity for one cozy burn. Please check with us if you'd like to use it.

It’s a propane BBQ and we provide the propane. We have spare tanks if it runs out, but you would need to swap by yourself.
